Winterheur has more than 500 people working for itself currently in its manufacturing units. In the apparel industry, operator training is the most crucial and demanding tasks for the management. Winterheur has an training centre for their tailors wherein they are trained for the strict quality standards and once they attain an certain skill level they are transferred to the main shop floor.

Winterheur has an strong cutting section and soon will shift to automatic layering and cutting with Gerber machines. Currently they use high quality East Man Cuts straight knives, round knives, fabric drills and end cutters to lay and cut the fabric. They use CAD systems and have computerised precision pattern making, grading and marking systems.

The production lines are fully integrated and the machines are from JUKI, BROTHER, PEGASUS and are fully automatic. Most of the machines have UBT which is the latest in Sewing technology. In an simple lockstitch machine, the tailor has to use an trimmer or scissor to cut down the needle and bobbin thread after completing the stitch. But in an UBT function enabled machine, all this is done by the machine. So this saves an lot of time and increases efficiency. These machines also have pre-loaded programmes that help the operator while stitching.

Winterheur has latest pressing machines from Ramsons (A global leader for supplying high quality press systems). This ensures that garments are finished seamlessly.
